Preschool Classes

preschool

Our PRESCHOOL PROGRAM welcomes children ages 2 years, 9 months to  5 years. Children enjoy language arts, math, social studies, music and creative movement. Our dedicated teachers arrange classrooms in a series of exciting learning centers. Children also spend time every day moving on our new playground and in the gymnasium.

In addition to our core Preschool program, we offer special classes, including:

TRANSITION

This popular class is designed for the oldest four year olds who either miss the kindergarten cut-off or could benefit from one more year in a pre-kindergarten readiness classroom. The children participate in work groups, exposing them to concepts and activities that will be introduced in kindergarten.

MASORET

This class features a special emphasis on Jewish culture. Children begin learning Hebrew, too.

PEPs (Preschool Enrichment Programs)

The JCC offers wonderful Preschool Enrichment Programs (PEPs) from 12:00pm to 2:00pm every afternoon.  Your children’s teaches will lead them to classes including Tumbling, Swimming, Art, Spanish, Dance, Tae Kwon Do! For more info or to register for a PEP, contact Marla Mindel at mmindel@jccns.com or 781-476-9884.

PRESCHOOL PLUS

Preschool Plus provides childcare before (7:30am-9:00am) and after (12:00pm-6:00pm) the regular Preschool hours. This special time helps children create long-lasting friendships. The afternoon begins with a relaxing lunch with their friends – a time to wind down after a busy morning and to chat about the day’s accomplishments. The young preschoolers will then take a nap/rest on mats, having their backs rubbed while listening to quiet music. Once rest time is over, snack is served. We also make time to either play outside or in the gym. Age-appropriate activities are offered at various stations, allowing children to explore and discover areas such as art, writing and math tables. We also bring out games and puzzles.

For more information and a tour, please contact Early Childhood Director Stephanie Walsh at 781-476-9882 or swalsh@jccns.com.
