Following his Mozart seminar for the Alliance, we received countless emails to bring Roger Pines back with new classes! Now, Roger returns with an introduction to some of the greatest yet least familiar operatic repertoire, dating from as far back as the very beginnings of opera. Starting with the art form’s first great masterpiece, Monteverdi’s Orfeo, we’ll move to the glories of Purcell, Handel, Lully, Rameau, and others.
