Torah Hub 2022: Shemita, the “Sabbatical” Year An Ancient Practice for the Modern World

Explore the Torah and the guidance and wisdom it offers with this popular adult learning series led by local rabbis and leaders.

Shemita: Origins and Meanings of the Sabbatical Year

with Rabbi Yossi Lipsker and Rabbi David Meyer

For our ancient Israelite ancestors, the Shemita year was a time of renewal – renewal of the earth, renewal of the community, and renewal of every individual. This session introduces the practice and traditions of Shemita and begins to explore how this ancient system might guide and inspire us in our own day.

FREE and open to all with registration
All sessions currently scheduled to be on Zoom.  We will notify you of any changes.
