He holds an M.Sc. in Technology Management with honors\, as well as degrees in Business Administration\, including a specialization in Strategic Management. He served in senior command and staff positions in the Israel Defense Forces\, and in his last role served as Chief of Staff of a corps at the General Staff level. Following the October 7 attack\, he led the victim identification process at Shura Camp\, in cooperation with the IDF\, Israel Police\, government ministries\, and expert teams. Today\, he works as an advisor to the National Emergency Authority in Israel’s Ministry of Defense\, as a board member\, and as co-founder of AI4Life\, an initiative that teaches artificial intelligence to senior citizens. Avner is the author of the book From Shura to Renewal. His lectures combine leadership\, managerial and command experience\, strategic management\, and crisis management\, alongside unity and mutual responsibility\, a sense of mission\, accountability\, and personal and national resilience.
