Parent and Tot Swim – REGISTER HERE
This is the exciting first dip into the pool for children and we make it special for everyone involved! Parents bring their children (ages 6 months to 3 years) into the pool for a fun lesson with one of our wonderful instructors. Sing songs, dance in the water and more.
On Sundays we offer Parent and Tot in two separate age groups: 6 months-2 years and 2-3 years.
Swim diapers are required.
Starfish: Level 1 – REGISTER HERE
Your children will learn basic swimming skills in this fun, no pressure class. They’ll practice blowing bubbles, floating and kicking.
Seahorse: Level 2 – REGISTER HERE
Ready for the next level! Children learn important skills such as beginner front and back crawl, floating, glides (prone and supine), seated dives and treading water.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 1 or children must be able to easily enter the water and be comfortable participating in small groups.
Combo Starfish and Seahorse – REGISTER HERE
This convenient option is for families who want a Level 1 or Level 2 class, but can’t make the scheduled times. Children learn skills from Starfish and Seahorse classes, including submerging their faces, floating and elementary front crawl.
Barracuda: Level 3 – REGISTER HERE
On the move! Students improve their front and back crawl by learning rotary breathing and body rotation. Breast stroke, underwater swimming, dolphin kick and diving will be introduced.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 2 or ability to float and swim independently on front and back for at least 10 yards.
Dolphin: Level 4 – REGISTER HERE
Students will improve their stroke technique and endurance in front and back crawl, breast stroke, elementary back stroke and treading. They’ll refine their diving skills, too.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 3 or basic front crawl and back crawl for 15 yards. Children must be comfortable in deep water.
Sharks: Level 5 – REGISTER HERE
Sharks learn to dive from our diving board! They also learn the butterfly and open and flip turns, while practicing the back crawl and breast stroke.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 4 or ability to easily swim the entire length of pool, exhibit good technique in front and back crawl and swim underwater 10 yards.
Create a Swim Class – REGISTER HERE
Our classes fill quickly and we want to make sure you have the chance to learn to swim! If you have at least three participants of a similar level, we will find you an instructor and place in the pool for your lessons. Adult Swim Lessons – REGISTER HERE
Get special attention in the pool! This clinic is a great way to learn the basics of swimming and improve your technique. Beginners welcome.

Lifeguard Certification Course & Review – REGISTER HERE
Get certified, get a great job, have skills for life! Take advantage of these convenient life guard training courses at the JCCNS.
Prerequisites: You must be able to swim 300 yards Freestyle/Breaststroke without stopping, tread water for two minutes without hands, retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool 7-10 ft. and deliver it to the shallow-end of the pool in 1:40. Must be at least 15 years of age to take the course; lifeguards must be 16 years old to be hired in the state of Massachusetts.

Junior Swim Team JCCNS Jellies – REGISTER HERE
Swimmers are invited to train and compete in this fun Junior Swim team, for ages 5-7. Swimmers will have tons of fun improving their technique and preparing for the Sea Serpents. We will compete in fun local dual meets throughout the season. Swimmers must be able to jump into the pool and swim one full length of Freestyle with rotary breathing and one full length backstroke or be at a Shark level of higher.
