The JCCNS offers programs for families to enjoy together and with community friends. Don’t miss out on some of our latest and greatest family events. There’s truly something for everyone!

​Pirate and Princess Adventure Day

​Ahoy Pirates and Pirate Princesses! Let your creative juices flow and turn yourself into your favorite pirate and/or princess. Then come to the J and have some “round-robin style fun” with activities including a Frozen-themed bounce house, musical adventures, dancing, arts & crafts activities, and kid-style games. Yummy snacks included. Sponsored by our Early Childhood Center.

​Transitioning to Kindergarten


​Do you have questions regarding your child’s readiness for kindergarten? Join us for a panel of experienced educators and specialists in this informative discussion facilitated by Head of Epstein Hillel School, Amy Gold. Our panelists will share information about recognizing the signs of kindergarten readiness and ways to help your child prepare for this important transition.

​Young Family Shabbat


​Join a family-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat and Havdalah service with the JCCNS, Temple Sinai, Shirat Hayam, Lappin Foundation and the PJ Library. Hear a PJ Library Story, sing and dance with the Rabbis and Cantors! Dinner will be served. Free and Open to all.

​Animal Adventures Family Zoo and Rescue Center

​Have you ever wanted to travel the world to see some of the most exotic animals on our planet? Well, guess what? We’re bringing them to the JCCNS! Here’s your chance to get up close with Argo, the country’s ONLY traveling West African Crocodile and some of his friends including: ring-tailed lemur, kangaroo, Argentinean tegu, Eurasian eagle, armadillo, and so much more! This is such an impressive hands-on program with two specialized handlers who will teach us all about these exotic creatures! Craft and snack included.

​Shabbat Celebration for All Ages


​Welcoming Shabbat is fun for all ages! We invite everyone to join our intergenerational Shabbat celebration with our early childhood friends. Enjoy music with Marcy and we’ll have snacks for adults. Hugs and smiles abound at this feel good community event. Grandchildren not required!

​​Spend time with other parents/caregivers while your little ones play. Enjoy music, movement, reading, and parenting advice. Perfect for children 3 months to 3 years.

​Open Gym For Young Families


​​Come to the JCCNS on Sunday mornings and let your little ones climb, jump and play on our indoor gym equipment while letting out some extra winter energy. Bring friends and have fun indoors.

​CJP Welcome Baby! Monthly Meet-Ups


The Welcome Baby! initiative is designed to welcome new parents (of babies born or adopted in the last 6 months, with at least one parent identifying as Jewish) to the Jewish community with a home visit, tote bag full of great baby gear, and resources customized to the families’ needs.
