Lifeguard Courses

Get certified, get a great job, have skills for life! Take advantage of these convenient lifeguard training courses at the JCCNS.

Prerequisites: Must be able to swim 300 yards Freestyle/Breaststroke without stopping, tread water for two minutes without hands, retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool 7-12ft. and deliver it to the shallow-end of the pool in 1:40.  Must be at least 15 1/2 years of age to take the course; lifeguards must be 16 years old to be hired in the state of Massachusetts.

Lifeguard Course: Courses will be hybrid and consist of online and in person water skills.

Lifeguard Certification Course:

Rates: $400 Members/$450 Community

Lifeguard Recertification Course:

Time: 9:00am-5:00pm
Rates: $150 Members/$180 Community
