Understanding Antisemitism Today
Navigating Conversations about Israel with Dr. Rachel Fish
JCCNS Community Conversation Series
Antisemitism is showing up in new and sometimes unexpected forms across the political spectrum, and is increasingly intertwined with anti-Zionism and debates about Israel. Dr. Rachel Fish joined us on Sept. 9, 2026, for a moderated conversation to help recognize contemporary expressions of Jew-hatred, understand why they can be difficult to identify, and offer practical guidance for navigating conversations about Israel and antisemitism with people whose views may differ from our own.
Dr. Rachel Fish is a scholar of modern Israel, Zionist thought, and antisemitism whose research and teaching examine the intersection of Jewish history and contemporary Jewish life. She is CEO of the Israel Institute, which enhances knowledge about Israel by ensuring university students in the United States and globally have access to substantive, academically rigorous scholarship about Israel.
