Campers who want to spend more focused time on specific activities will have fun developing skills, while also learning the ways in which communication and team-building impact their individual performance. Campers will have the benefit of our incredible aquatics program, as they receive daily instructional swim lessons and also spend their days working on their specialty.
Camp Simchah Specialty campers attend daily from 9am-4pm, and will dive into their chosen Simchah Specialty camp for an engaging, fun, and in-depth camp experience. Our Spirit Days will also be part of the Simchah Specialty camp fun! Campers may choose to register for some weeks of Camp Simchah Specialty and other weeks of Camp Simchah. Choose the programs they’re most interested in to craft a summer they will love!

Get ready to shoot some hoops! Our Basketball Specialty Camp teaches fundamentals of the sport while players improve their game through drills and games, all while having fun! All levels welcome!
Get ready to explore some of the most popular art trends currently featured on Pinterest and YouTube. Activities include hydro-dipping, graffiti, splatter painting, marbling, and more. Campers will get creative and messy all while having fun. And of course, we’ll be producing some awesome masterpieces to take home!
Our Tennis Specialty Camp teaches fundamentals of the sport while players improve their game through footwork drills, games, strategy, and match play… with a heavy focus on having fun on the courts! All levels welcome! Please note: It is recommended that campers bring their own racquets each day.
Our Sports Specialty Camp is your athlete’s dream come true! Our Camp Simchah coaches, handpicked for their sporting and instructional expertise, provide guidance on a wide range of sports, while challenging campers through fun scrimmages and games. Daily sports include soccer, basketball, dodgeball, wiffle ball, street hockey, flag football, lacrosse, gaga, and more! Campers learn important lessons and skills including sportsmanship, respect, self-discipline, and the importance of teamwork.
Campers will take the stage and learn how to dance just like their pop star idols! Whether they aspire to be the next Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez, the spotlight is on as our dancers transform into superstars. Throughout the week, campers will learn choreography and technique from our awesome dance camp instructors as they create amazing performances worthy of a world tour!
Campers will learn fundamentals and improve their game through footwork drills, games, strategy, and match play while having fun on the courts! It is recommended that Campers bring their own racquets each day.
Campers will create their own clay pieces all week long. Learn how to form pinch pots, create mystical animals, jewelry, and “catch-all” trays. Campers will create their own masterpieces from clay, then add the finishing touches with paint. Learn about and work with diverse types of clay to produce unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Ready for some fun summer adventure? Summer at the J Simchah Travel Camp takes our campers to a variety of fun and exciting places all around the North Shore. Hop on our bus in the morning at the JCCNS, travel to one of our carefully selected destinations, and have a fabulous time enjoying summertime!
Potential destinations include Stone Zoo, Paddle Boarding with SUP East Coast Style in Marblehead/Swampscott, Beantown Adventure Ropes Course, Richardson’s, and Boston Aquarium. Campers entering 3rd grade and up may register for this amazing, fun-filled camp.
*Daily required items lists including water bottle, towel, sunscreen, etc. will be recommended for each trip day.
