Layah Kranz Lipsker is a Boston-based Jewish educator, divorce mediator, and director of the Boston Agunah Taskforce at the Hadassah Brandeis Institute. For three decades, Layah has been sharing Jewish wisdom through engaging text study in Biblical literature, Talmud, and Midrash, through the lens of Kabbalah and personal growth. Her journey from a Hassidic upbringing to a more pluralistic and open observance, enables her to reach diverse audiences. Layah is passionate about issues related to religion and gender and created getyourget.com, which focuses on eliminating gender disparities in Jewish divorce practices. She currently teaches for the Meah program at Hebrew College and is completing her LMHC. Layah serves as a scholar in residence for spiritual retreats, trips to Israel, and lectures widely. Her favorite job of all is being mom to six amazing kids and bubby to her grandsons, Jude and Noah.
