LEADER IN TRAINING

Entering Grades 8 & 9

As we know, leadership is a honed skill and is best learned when working within a team. Our LIT Program participants will first learn a bit about each other through ice breakers and will then explore the important life skills of group leadership in everyday tasks around Camp Simchah. They will participant in skill-building sessions with our LIT Director as well as our Camp Leadership team, and will have a chance to explore their own interests in our summer camp environment. Our LIT Program offers “Experiential Education” at it’s finest and participants will leave with a greater sense of self and their own leadership ability.

Our Leaders-in-Training (LITs) are entering 8th and 9th grades. The Summer at the J Leader-in-Training program follows the experiential learning model by providing instruction and support in goal-setting, communication, team-building, personal and group challenge and growth, while assisting pre-teens and teens in their own leadership development.
