Join us for an evening with the critically acclaimed New York Times bestselling author of The Light of Days as she introduces her captivating debut novel, a story of friendship, courage, art, and identity set against the growing threat of antisemitism in prewar Poland.

Step into Warsaw in 1938, where two very different young Jewish women find themselves drawn together while danger closes in. Fanny Zelshinsky is a sophisticated young artist from Warsaw’s Jewish elite, determined to earn recognition for her work while questioning the future she has planned for herself. Zosia Dror has fled violence in her small shtetl and joined a youth movement dedicated to social equality and creating a Jewish homeland.

When their beloved photography professor mysteriously disappears, the two women – seemingly unlikely allies – join forces to find her. As antisemitism intensifies around them, their search becomes increasingly dangerous.

In conversation with Shelley Sackett, member of the Boston Theater Critics Association, freelance journalist, divorce mediator, and former editor of Jewish Journal.

Includes book sale, signing and light refreshments.
