​Speaking For Israel, by Aviva Klompas, Associate VP of Israel and Global Jewish Citizenship at CJP and Israel’s former UN speechwriter, offers an honest, humorous, and frank look at how the Israeli delegation—and Israel as a whole—is treated and viewed in the international body. Klompas chronicles her tenure during events including the collapse of four Middle Eastern states, faltering Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, an attempt to push Palestinian statehood through the UN Security Council, the Palestinians’ bid to join the International Criminal Court, the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers, and fifty days of war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and more.
