Aerial Yoga is a type of yoga practice where participants use a silk hammock suspended from the ceiling as a prop to as a support while participating in sequential poses and flows. The purpose of the hammock is to help improve flexibility, enhance full body strength, decompress the spine and more. Join instructor Cathy for this unique (and new to the J!) way to practice Yoga.
Days: Wednesdays 9:15am-10:10am

The Pilates Reformer is an exercise machine used to incorporate the Pilates exercise technique for a challenging and intense workout. Springs, leverage, and body weight are used as resistance while performing movements that target specific muscle groups.
Dates: Session I, 1/7 -2/11 (6 weeks)
Session II, 2/25-4/1 (6 weeks)
Fee: Member $180 per person/Community $215 per person (space is limited)

Personal Trainers Rick DiScipio and Blake Forman will help you get into the best shape of your life. This class combines power lifting, body building and high-intensity cardio work and allows for personal attention to all participants.

Rowing is an exceptional full body workout. Whether you are an experienced rower, or you are just getting started, this class will support you in achieving your fitness goals. Experienced instructor Tabatha Keating guides class participants through rigorous rowing exercises, interspersed with intervals that use weights and TRX.
Dates: 1/5-3/30 (13 weeks)

A rowing machine is a piece of exercise equipment that mimics the motion of rowing a boat in water, making it all full body workout for all ages and fitness levels. Rowing is a great way to improve your overall health, ad helps to develop both upper and lower body strength and stamina.

Session II, 2/24-3/31 (6 weeks)

If the JCCNS needs to close in inclement weather, Specialty Fitness classes will not be refunded. If the J cancels class for another reason, however, we will provide a make-up class.
