NEW April Weightlifting Clinic

Learn how to properly Bench Press, Deadlift, and Squat!

This month-long clinic will be an educational series of the 3 major power lifts. Bench Press, Deadlift, and Squat

Join us on Saturdays at 1:00pm during the month of April on the fitness floor at the JCCNS. Personal Trainer Blake Forman will train participants on one lift each session, including one-on-one instruction for comprehensive presentation of correct body mechanics, injury prevention, and proper programming for each movement. The clinic will culminate in a one-time friendly competition allowing each participant the chance to test their strength with all three major lifts.

Open to all new lifters, age 13 years and up.
Registration not required. Free to members $20.00 non-members per clinic. Please pay at The Welcome Center.

 Strength Training at the J

Personal Trainer Blake Forman will help you get into the best shape of your life. This class combines power lifting, body building and high-intensity cardio work and allows for personal attention to all participants.

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga is a type of yoga practice where participants use a silk hammock suspended from the ceiling as a prop to support while participating in sequential poses and flows. The purpose of the hammock is to help improve flexibility, enhance full body strength, decompress the spine and more.

Join instructor Cathy for this unique way to practice Yoga.

Strength Class for Kids and Teens

This class is designed to enhance athletic performance, reduce the risk of common athletic injuries, and prep athletes for upcoming sports seasons.  The program involves structured group training in a high-energy, supportive environment. You will utilize Olympic Weightlifting movements, powerlifting concepts, dumbbells, kettlebells, sleds, ropes, and medicine balls. As well as basic sports nutrition and hydration education.

Open to all students, and no need to be participating in a current sport.

Time: 4:30PM-5:30PM
Ages: 10-16

Partner Pilates Reformer Classes

The Pilates Reformer is an exercise machine used to incorporate the Pilates exercise technique for a challenging and intense workout. Springs, leverage, and body weight are used as resistance while performing movements that target specific muscle groups.

Days: Fridays
Dates: Session I-6 weeks
                Session II-6 weeks
Time: 11:00am-11:45am
Fee: Member $180 per person/Community $215 per person (space is limited)

If the JCCNS needs to close in inclement weather, Specialty Fitness classes will not be refunded. If the J cancels class for another reason, however, we will provide a make-up class.
