Identity Theft: An Overview

Please join Eric Knight for an overview on identity theft, how to safeguard against becoming a victim, and what to do if it happens to you.

Eric Knight’s biography:
Eric Knight served as a Private Investigator, Special Investigator for the State Ethics Commission, Director of Civil Process for the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, and worked for the Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General for 26 years in a number of roles including: Chief of the Criminal Investigations Division, Chief of the Forensic Investigations Division, and IT and Operations Manager.

He was a sworn officer in a number of capacities for almost 25 years including as a part-time Marblehead Police Officer, a Deputy Sheriff in 11 Massachusetts counties and as a Special Deputy United States Marshall.  He was a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner for 10 years, was formerly certified as a Certified Fraud Specialist and was an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Knight was also a member of the High Technology Crime Investigations Association for many years including serving as Treasurer of the Massachusetts Chapter.

Knight has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from UMass and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in IT from Salem State.
