
In 1943, as Francisco Franco closes the Pyrenees to Jews fleeing Nazi persecution, a small-town Spanish border official makes the risky decision to defy orders. With the help of a local woman and a French smuggler, he begins secretly guiding Jewish refugees to safety. What starts as a quiet act of conscience soon grows into a dangerous underground rescue network—one that forces him and his wife to confront the lingering wounds of the Spanish Civil War.
